Privacy Policy

Checkout Friction Observatory (“we”) provides synthetic checkout monitoring for Shopify merchants and agencies. This policy describes how we handle data collected through our app and dashboard.

Data we process

• Shop domain, store URL, and product test URLs you configure
• Shopify offline access tokens (encrypted at rest in production)
• Synthetic audit artifacts (screenshots, videos, console/network logs)
• Contact details submitted via waitlist / lead forms

What we do not collect

We do not process real customer checkout payments, card data, or shopper PII from live orders. Audits use bot journeys that stop at checkout presentation.

Deletion

Merchants can request deletion via DELETE /api/stores/:id/data, which removes the Shopify session and deactivates the store. Contact support for full audit artifact purge.
